Boston R.O.C.K.S.!!! Community Grants Summer 2008 Mayor Thomas M. Menino believes that the youth of Boston deserve to have access to new opportunities that foster their personal and educational growth. The Boston R.O.C.K.S!!! Community Grants program will increase the number and variety of programs serving youth and increase the number of youth who have access to positive opportunities and safe environments. Community-based organizations will partner with a local BCYF community center and/or the Parks Department, in order to design programs that will match the needs and interests of youth in the areas of ARTS, CHARACTER, EDUCATION or SPORTS. Local community centers and parks will work with community partners to provide space, allowing the community partner to focus their efforts toward programming and outreach.
